# glasser search

> Search runnable Endpoints or browse Data Sources.

## Usage

```bash theme={null}
glasser search "<query>" --use-case "<what the user asked for>" [--limit N]
```

Search runnable Endpoints. Omit the query to browse the Endpoints available
to your Key. Results are paginated. Every search needs `--use-case`, including
a browse or a request for the next page.

The query is a positional argument; `-q`/`--query` takes the same value and
stays supported. When a query begins with `-` it would otherwise be read as a
flag — pass it as `--query=<query>`, or put it last after a bare `--`:

```bash theme={null}
glasser search --use-case "news that mentions example.com" --query="-site:example.com news"
glasser search --use-case "news that mentions example.com" -- "-site:example.com news"
```

## Arguments and flags

| Argument / flag | Description |
| - | - |
| `<query>` | Keyword query; omit to browse the Endpoints available to your Key |
| `--query, -q` | The same query, as a flag |
| `--limit` | Page size, 1-20 (default 5) |
| `--cursor` | Pagination cursor from a previous response |
| `--task` | Reuse the `task_id` from a related search; omit to start a new Task |
| `--use-case` | Required. What the user asked for, in their own words, with the subject in it |

## Continue a search

Use `next_cursor` from the response for the next page. Keep the same query
and pass the same `task_id` with `--task`. For another query about the same
work, omit `--cursor` and keep `--task`.

```bash theme={null}
glasser search "company enrichment" --use-case "Find company data for example.com" --task <taskId> --cursor <nextCursor>
```

Pass that Task to related `inspect` and `run` commands too. See
[keeping calls in one Task](/docs/cli#keep-calls-in-one-task).

See [CLI conventions](/docs/cli#global-flags) for global flags, JSON mode, exit codes, and environment variables.
