# Claude Chat & Cowork

> Start with the Glasser Skill, then connect your account in Claude.

Open Claude Chat or start a Cowork task. In these clients, the Glasser Skill guides you to
connect your account through MCP. You do not need to install the Glasser CLI.

For a local Claude Code session, use the [Claude Code Skill guide](/docs/setup-skill/claude-code).

<Steps>
  <Step title="Ask Claude to set up Glasser">
    Paste the same prompt as on the Glasser home page:

    ```text wrap theme={null}
    set up https://glasser.ai/SKILL.md
    ```

    Claude reads the Skill and guides you through adding a connector. If Glasser is already
    connected, go to the balance check below.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the Glasser connector">
    Open **Customize → Connectors**, select **Add**, then **Add custom connector**.
    Some versions show **Custom → Web** instead.

    Enter `Glasser` for the name and this server URL:

    ```text theme={null}
    https://api.glasser.ai/mcp
    ```

    Select **Continue**, review the detected authentication settings, then select
    **Continue** again.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in to Glasser">
    Under **Authentication**, select **Sign in now**. Under **OAuth client**, select
    **Register automatically**. Leave the OAuth Client ID and Secret empty.

    Select **Add**, then **Connect** if prompted. In the browser, sign in to Glasser, choose
    your Workspace, and select **Allow**. Create an account and Workspace if needed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enable Glasser and check the connection">
    Start a new conversation or Cowork task. Open **+ → Connectors** and enable Glasser.
    Then ask:

    ```text wrap theme={null}
    Use Glasser to check my available balance. Do not make any paid Runs.
    ```

    Claude should use Glasser's `balance` tool and return your balance. This check is free;
    a zero balance still confirms that the connection works.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  On a Team or Enterprise account, an Owner may need to add the connector first.
  See the [organization setup steps](/docs/mcp-server/claude#team-and-enterprise-accounts).
</Tip>

## Try your first request

```text wrap theme={null}
Use Glasser to find recent news about Stripe. Show me the data you can retrieve and the price, then wait for my approval before any paid Run.
```

After you approve, Claude can retrieve the data and report the result and charge.

See [Claude's custom connector guide](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11175166-get-started-with-custom-connectors-using-remote-mcp)
for current menus and account settings.
