Using Work locally?

For local tasks in the desktop app, you can also use the Skill setup. If you prefer to configure MCP directly in the desktop app, follow these steps:
  1. Open Settings → MCP servers and select Add server.
  2. Name it Glasser, choose Streamable HTTP, and enter https://api.glasser.ai/mcp.
  3. Save the server, then select Restart.
  4. Select Authenticate for Glasser. Sign in, choose your Glasser Workspace, and select Allow.
  5. Start a new local Work task and use the free balance prompt above to check the connection.
This configuration is for local tasks. For cloud tasks, install the plugin using the steps above.

Try your first request

After you approve, Work can retrieve the data and use it in your report. It should report the result and charge. If custom MCP servers are unavailable, check your account and workspace settings. On a managed workspace, ask your administrator whether they are enabled. See OpenAI’s plugin setup, Work guide, and desktop MCP settings.
