List OpenAlex scholarly works that match named fields — publication year or date range, open-access flag, retracted flag, work type, language, DOI, OpenAlex author id, institution ROR, topic id, and a minimum or maximum citation count — and get back the matching papers with their authors, host journal, citation count and DOI. Set group_by instead to get counts per year, type, language, topic, institution or country rather than the papers themselves. Takes no free-text query: use the text search endpoint for that.
List OpenAlex authors that match named fields — ORCID, institution ROR, institution country code, topic id, and a minimum or maximum works count or citation count — and get back each researcher with their affiliations, output and citation totals and main topics. Set group_by instead to get counts per country, institution, topic or ORCID presence. Takes no free-text name query: use the researcher search endpoint for that.
Look up a single journal, conference series or repository by ISSN or OpenAlex source id, and get back its display name and alternative titles, publisher, host organization, type, every ISSN it carries, open-access status, APC prices where published, total works count, total citation count and counts per year. One identifier per call.
